Message from the founder

I’ve worn a lot of hats in my life, father, husband, nonprofit executive, coach, volunteer… and yes, occasionally the “guy who brings too many snacks on camping trips.” When I’m not chasing my kids around or writing grant proposals, you’ll probably find me outside: hiking Adirondack trails, setting up a hammock next to a quiet lake, snowboarding down fresh powder, or fishing with the patience of someone who forgot his watch.

But here’s the real truth, the outdoors has been my reset button. It’s where I’ve found clarity when life felt heavy, purpose when work felt overwhelming, and connection when I needed it most. And I’ve seen firsthand how powerful that can be for others, too. That’s why Forge & Freedom exists. To give men the same space to laugh, push limits, find their people, and walk away stronger than they came.
